Recently, the successful commissioning and operation of the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 sintering proportioning dust removal and primary mixer wet dust collection upgrade and retrofit projects, undertaken by Shanghai Jieyan Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. for Panzhihua Steel & Vanadium's Ironmaking Plant, have been completed.
In accordance with the national environmental protection ultra-low emission concentration standards, Panzhihua Steel & Vanadium's Ironmaking Plant has adopted a wet dust collection system designed, manufactured, and installed by Shanghai Jieyan Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. This system features high dust collection efficiency, low maintenance costs, and the recycling of dust-laden water, effectively resolving the long-standing issue of non-compliant flue gas emissions during the sintering process. The newly installed wet dust collection system incorporates dust collection ductwork at the inlet and outlet of each sintering machine's proportioning system and the primary mixer. This network captures and treats the high-temperature flue gas and dust collected from emission points. The system reduces fugitive emissions during the sintering proportioning process, lowers maintenance costs, and improves the working environment in the sintering area. After the project's commissioning, the dust concentration in the sintering proportioning area has been reduced from >50 mg/Nm³ before the retrofit to ≤10 mg/Nm³.
Currently, since the project was put into operation, all operational parameters have remained stable. Under the repeated scrubbing action of the wet dust collector, the dust removal efficiency has significantly improved. The flue gas emission concentration far exceeds the ultra-low emission requirements, and it has also enhanced the efficiency of quicklime digestion, further increasing production stability.
This has added a brilliant touch to Panzhihua Steel's comprehensive, all-factor advancement in environmental protection enhancement, the promotion of clean production, and the pursuit of a green development path towards carbon neutrality.
